Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle power on the shooting ability of SSB UIR Soccer players' soccer games School U 17 Pekanbaru. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study were SSB UIR Soccer School (USS) players. Under 17 totaling 15 people. The sampling technique is total sampling and the number of samples is 15 people. The instrument used is standing broad jump test and shooting test of football game. The calculation results conducted, the correlation index is 0.541. The value is in the range between 0.4 - 0.70 with a Medium correlation category. Rbet value on sample of 15 or DF = 13 people is 0.514. thus the value of r count > r table or 0.541 > 0.514. The coefficient of determination obtained the value of by 29.3%. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant contribution significant leg muscle power on the soccer shooting ability of players SSB UIR Soccer School U 17 Pekanbaru with a percentage of only 29.3%.
