Abstract

The title of this research is "Educational Values in Puspanjali Dance at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Pekanbaru, Riau Province". The problem raised in this research is How is the Educational Value in Puspanjali Dance at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Pekanbaru, Riau Province? The purpose of this study was to determine the educational values in Puspanjali dance at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The approach used was a qualitative approach. The method used is descriptive method. This research includes qualitative research. Researchers used several techniques, namely observation techniques, interview techniques, documentation techniques, data analysis techniques. The theory used by the author to determine the educational values in Puspanjali dance is the theory of educational values by Ani Nur Aeni. The results of this study conclude that the Puspanjali Dance at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Pekanbaru Riau Province has educational values, namely: (1) The value of religious education is a belief that is embraced or believed by humans, religion is always seen as a source of value. (2) The value of Social Education is where an individual interacts with other individuals or the surrounding community, because humans are social creatures. (3) The value of cultural education is thoughts, customs, something that has developed, something that becomes a habit that is difficult to change.
