Abstract

This study aims to improve biology learning outcomes by applying the Snakes and Ladders Games method to class XI IPA2 SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya, Kuantan Singingi Regency for the 2018/2019 academic year, which includes 21 students with 7 male students and 14 female students. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted from March 20, 2019 to May 15, 2019. The parameters measured were student learning outcomes in the form of absorption, student learning completeness, namely PPK (Cognitive) and KI (Psychomotor). The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The absorption of students' PPK scores before taking class action (CAR) is 67.14%, increasing in the first cycle to 72.30% and in the second cycle increasing again to 85.74%. The classical completeness of the students' PPK scores before PTK increased to 42.86% in the first cycle to 47.61% and in the second cycle increased to 100.00%. The absorption of KI values ​​of students before CAR was 72.38% increased in the first cycle to 80.63% and in the second cycle increased to 88.49%. The classical completeness of students' KI scores before PTK 42.86% increased in the first cycle to 100.00% and increased again in the second cycle to 100.00%. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the application of the snake and ladder game learning media can improve biology learning outcomes for class XI IPA4 SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya, Kuantan Singini district for the 2018/2019 academic year.
