Abstract

NOVRI MIDANI (144310317) Student of Aquaculture Study Program Faculty of Islamic University of Riau under the guidance of Mr. Ir. T. Iskandar Johan, M.Si with the Research Title "EFFECT OF OIL GIVING CLOVE (Eugenia aromatic) WITH DIFFERENT DOSAGE TO LIFE OF tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) SEEDS IN CLOSED TRANSPORTATION”. This research was conducted for 1 day at Balai Fish Seed (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Pekanbaru. Study This study aims to determine how many doses of clove oil (Eugenia aromatic) which is used to be safe as an anesthetic for tilapia seeds (Oreochromis niloticus). The method used is the experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications namely: P0 = no treatment (control), P1 = Clove oil administration with dose of 0.20%/liter of water, P2= Giving clove oil with a dose of 0.25%/liter water, P3= Clove oil administration at a dose of 0.30%/liter of water., P4= Giving clove oil with a dose of 0.35% / liter of water. Tilapia fish seeds are seeding BBI Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau with a size of 5 cm. The number of tilapia seeds used was 150 tails. On each The experiment used 10 tilapia fish seeds. The container used in This research is a PE (polyethylane) plastic bag with a size of 30 x 65 cm which is filled with water as much as 2 liters/plastic, then PE plastic is placed into the bucket size 60x60x45 cm as a transport medium. Oil feeding Cloves (Eugenia aromatic) with different doses have an effect very significant effect on the survival rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fry. The highest survival rate of tilapia fry in anesthesia experiments using clove oil is the P2 treatment at a dose of 0.25%/liter clove oil with a percentage of 76.66% while the lowest can be seen in the P4 treatment at a dose of 0.35%/liter with a survival rate of 3.33%. Treatment 2 with a dose of 0.25%/liter of water is the best and safe dose in anaesthesia of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fry.
