Abstract

Oky Putu Ratno (164110311) research with the title "The Effect of Several Types of Natural PGR and Soaking Time on the Growth of Pepper Plant Cuttings (Piper Nigrum)". The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect of several types of natural PGR and soaking time on the growth of pepper cuttings. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The time of this research was carried out for 4 months starting from September to December 2020. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the type of natural PGR (H) consisting of 4 levels, namely without natural PGR. (H0), PGR of onion extract (H1), PGR of young coconut water (H2), banana weevil extract (H3). The second factor is the immersion time (P) consisting of 3 levels, namely 2 hours of immersion (P1), 4 hours of immersion (P2), 6 hours of immersion (P3). The further test used is BNJ (Honest Significant Difference) at the 5% level. From the results of the study, the combination of natural PGR treatment and soaking time had a significant effect on the parameters of age of 8.77 days of shoot emergence, 15.17 of roots and 3.03 cm of stem girth. The best treatment was ZPT young coconut water 100 cc of water and soaking time for 2 hours. The main effect of natural PGR has a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment was ZPT banana weevil 100 cc of water (H3). The main effect of immersion time did not significantly affect all parameters.
