Abstract

EVALUATION OF ELECTRONIC ARCHIVES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE CITY OF DUMAI BY: SUPRAPTI 197121052 ABSTRACT This study aims to describe and analyze the Evaluation of Electronic Archive at the Dumai City Education and Culture Office. This is important for regional device organizations in managing important data and files so that they are well managed. The field description obtained shows that there are problems in managing the archives of the Electronic Archives Management at the Dumai City Education and Culture Office. This encourages researchers to explain and analyze further in academic studies about the phenomenon in the form of a scientific thesis. In this study, researchers refer to relevant theories to answer every fundamental problem in the implementation of Dumai City Education and Culture Office's duties in managing electronic archives. The theory used in this research is the theory proposed by William N Dunn on Evaluation. The type of research used is qualitative research and uses processed data related to the research conducted. This qualitative approach is defined as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behaviors. The data collected in this study uses more secondary data, whereas primary data is needed to complement/support the analysis of the secondary data that has been obtained. Primary data obtained from interviews with informants who are competent in answering this problem. The inhibiting factors or obstacles for the authors of the analysis are indicators of effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, adequacy, equity and responsiveness.
