Abstract
Visum et Repertum (Visum Et Repertum) is a written statement made by a doctor at the request of an authorized investigator regarding the results of medical examinations of humans, both in living conditions and in a dead condition or parts of the suspected part of the human body, based on his knowledge and under oath for judicial purposes. Visum et Repertum is a valid evidence tool based on article 184 paragraph (1) of the Kuhap and falls into the category of letter evidence. The formulation of the problem in this study is about how the strength of Visum et Repertum Proof in the Process of Solving Cases of Persecution (Study K asus Verdict Number 384 / Pid.B / 2020 / PN Dum) and Obstacles in Proving Visum et Repertum (Case Study Verdict Number 384 / Pid.B / 2020 / PN Dum). The research methods in this scientific work use normative research methods. The author will initiate the decision of the Dumai District Court Number: 384 /Pid.B/2020/PN. Dum. Visum et R Visum et Repertum is a written report made by a doctor based on his oath of office about what is seen and found from the object he examines based on actual scientific and intellectual at the request of the authorities for the benefit of the judiciary or justiti. The existence of Visum et Repertum is very important because it is a strong evidence and consideration in uncovering a criminal act experienced by someone. Regarding this matter has been included in the rules of the Criminal Procedure Law Article 184 paragraph 1. Furthermore, Visum et Repertum is not just a proof of letter but has become an expert statement because visum is made by doctors who already have expertise and have legality.
