Abstract

The purpose of this survey is (1) farmer characteristics and profile (2) pineapple cultivation in Mundam village (3) pineapple farmer's income and household expenditure (4) pineapple farmer's household expenditure. The sampling method is random sampling. Pineapple farmers are leading the data at the RT level. 50% of all jacks at RT level were randomly obtained. Therefore, the number of samples taken in this survey is 47 pineapple farmers. The analysis used in this study is multiple regression. The results of this survey are as follows: (1) Farmer characteristics such as age of pineapple farmer average 41 years old, education of pineapple farmer average 8 years old or high school equivalent, number of families of pineapple farmer average 4.06 or 4 years old, average farming experience 18.00 Or 18 years. The farm profile obtained has an average land area of 1.62 ha, land condition on loan, average working capital of 14,967,617, production of 36,482 units and productivity of 22,276 units / ha / year. (2) The obtained manufacturing cost is Rp. 18,559,530 / MT, the total income earned by pineapple farmers in Mundam village is rupiah. 68,735.149 / MT, net income is rupiah. 50,175,619 / MT, agricultural efficiency achieved RCR (income cost ratio) of 3.70. (3) The highest household income structure of pineapple producers is due to pineapple cultivation and non-agricultural income. Agriculture is low while in oil palm. This proves that farmers prioritize the work of pineapple cultivation over palm oil cultivation. The largest household cost for pineapple farmers in the village of Mundam in Medan Kampai Canton was 50.95%, which was due to non-food costs such as housing, education, clothing, health and recreation. (4) Important factors that affect the household expenditure of pineapple farmers in Mundam village are household income, number of families, and important assets for household expenditure of pineapple farmers, but the education level of farmers, the education level of women, And farmer's savings are not so important.
