Abstract

This research aims to know the relationship between burnout with Counterproductive work behavior. Counterproductive work behavior is a form of behavior from individuals in organizations or other individuals that are contrary to norms and values, which hinders the organization from achieving organizational goals, whether intentional or unintentional. The hypothesis of this research is that there is an relationship between burnout on counterproductive work behavior at the Bukit Raya Pekanbaru Police. The population in this research were the polices of the Polsek Bukit Raya Pekanbaru City with total samples in the amount of 95 subjects taken by used saturated sampling. Data collection was conducted by using two scales; Counterproductive work behavior scale, and burnout scale. Data were analyzed by using correlation analysis technique. The results show that independent variable burnout have significant relationship with Counterproductive work behavior (r = 0,246, p =0,016). The effective contribution given by variable burnout towards Counterproductive work behavior is in the amount of 6,1 %, the rest is affected by other variables.
