Abstract

PS field is one of the largest fields in the province of West Papua in the oil and gas industry. But over time, it has entered an period abandoned which is seen with water cut a high of 99.5%. With this natural reduction in the ability of the well, the company decided to increase production in the PS field by optimizing the G well using ESP. To get the optimal production rate, it is necessary to analyze and calculate the design in accordance with the needs of the well. The researcher conducted the design using the method Vogel and carried out with the method study field. The method stage is carried out by collecting qualitative secondary data and calculating the design ESP according to the needs of the G well. The method was Vogel chosen because it has an accuracy value and a simple calculation with multiphase flow. By knowing the productivity index and As a description of the inflow performance relationship. In the calculation of the ESP design using the Vogel method, the maximum flow rate value is 22528 BFPD and the optimum flow rate is 18113 BFPD. Well G with a fluid production rate of 8982 BFPD and 45 BOPD, selected the REDA 562 pump type with the HN13000 pump type with an range of efficiency9200-16400stb/d considered less effective in optimization. Based on the calculation results, it is found that the intersection of the curves shows that in well G with a high PI of 77 bbl/d/psi with an range of optimal18113 the INJ-1200 pump with selected. stage 25 is to achieve a pump curve efficiency above 60%. The selection of transformers and switchboards is selected with sizes 3 and 350 kVa with large scale pump sizes.
