Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PEOPLE SOCIAL SUPPORT AND STUDENTS' WELL-BEING SCHOOL RATIH ANJASWARI FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU PEKANBARU ABSTRACT School Well-being is an idea that refers to conditions in which students feel safe and comfortable in school. This can be seen from several things, namely school conditions, social relationships, self-fulfillment and student health status at school. This study aims to prove that there is a relationship between peer social support and student school well-being. The sample of this study was students of SMA.N X in Gunung Sahilan with a sample of 153 people. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach, in which the measuring instrument used to collect data was in the form of a scale that was obtained by modifying it. The scale used in this study is the peer social support scale and the school well-being scale. The data collection technique used accidental sampling, while the measurement scale in this study was based on the theory of Sarafino and Smith (1994) and the school well-being scale of Konu and Rimpela (2002). Based on the results of the analysis of the correlation coefficient (r) 0.451 and the significance value of p = 0.000 (p <0.005), it can be interpreted that the hypothesis in this study is accepted, namely that there is a relationship between peer social support and school well-being in students.
