Abstract
Food safety is something that must always be considered and monitored for handling. So that the issuance of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK) which regulates consumers as consumers of a food whose rights need to be protected. The government is assisted by a non- departmental government agency tasked with overseeing the circulation of drugs and food circulating in the community, the agency is the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). The main problems in this research are the Responsibility of Business Actors to Home Made Frozen Food Products in the Pekanbaru Souvenir Shopping Center and BPOM Supervision of the Labeling of Home Made Frozen Food Products at the Pekanbaru Souvenir Shopping Center. In this study, the researchers used an observational research type . by conducting interviews, interviewing the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) in Pekanbaru and Frozen Food sellers at the Pekanbaru Souvenir Shopping Center The results of this study are that the responsibility of business actors to labeling frozen food products (frozen food) at home made at the Pekanbaru souvenir shopping center has not run optimally because there are still many business actors who cheat to get more results, regardless of consumer safety and lack of public awareness. in buying Frozen Food (Frozen Food), and BPOM Supervisors on Labeling Home Made Frozen Food Products at the Pekanbaru Souvenir Shopping Center has not been optimal due to the lack of strict sanctions imposed on Business Actors selling Frozen Food Products (Frozen Food) Home Made without labeling or distribution permit from the party concerned
