Abstract

Natural gas has been widely used as fuel and industrial raw material, therefore the distribution of natural gas is an important part in supporting industrial activities today. PT. Pertamina EP Asset 2 AM Field is one of the oil and gas companies that utilizes natural gas as a fuel engine by utilizing old wells in the field. Based on the monitoring of the logging readings of several old wells in the AM Field, Well 3A is a well that has the potential for gas production, so the well was chosen to be reused as a well that will increase the number of fuel engines in the field. The MIT method was used to find out the deeper characteristics of the 3A well. In this study, a research was conducted on the optimization of the utilization of the 3A well to be used as an additional fuel engine in the AM Field. This research was conducted to determine the potential of the well to increase demand in the AM field. This research was conducted with the help of IPM Software, namely PROSPER and MBAL. It is hoped that the optimization results will determine the potential of well 3A to increase the number of fuel engines in the field. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, Well 3A has reserves of 5.9 Bscf, and will produce for 6 years 8 months with a gas rate ranging from 0.35 MMscf - 1.0 MMscf, with a total cumulative production (reserves) of 2.5 Bscf and a recovery factor is obtained. by 42.37%.
