Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a variety of ethnicities, cultures and religions. This diversity makes Indonesia one of the largest multiethnic countries in the world. Representations can take the form of words, pictures, sequences, stories, and others that represent ideas, emotions, facts, and so on. Representation is the use of signs as a process of recording ideas, knowledge, or messages in some physical way called representation. Local cultural representation is the act of bringing back the culture that is displayed or shown through every movement, sound, and image that is displayed in each scene. The purpose of this research is to represent the local culture that is conveyed in the Sibolang Bocah Petualang episode of Sibolang Dari Kampar. From the research results, it is known that the signs of local culture in the Si Bolang Bocah Petualang episode of Si Bolang from Kampar Riau are in the form of visual images and scenes. The disclosure of the language of the local culture in the Si Bolang Bocah Petualang episode of Si Bolang from Kampar Riau is expressed in a narrative form. The meaning of local culture in the Si Bolang Bocah Petualang episode of Si Bolang from Kampar Riau is a system of knowledge that includes a system of ideas or ideas contained in the minds of local residents, so that in everyday life it is abstract. While the manifestation is in the form of behavior and objects that are real, namely, patterns of behavior, language, beliefs, art, and so on. All of which are carried out as an effort to assist local residents in carrying out their community life.
