Abstract

Changes in Teenage Communication Ethics in Using Gadgets in Pasir Emas Village Gilang Gigih Pranoto 189110109 Teenagers and gadgets are two things that are very related and can even be said to be something that is inevitable or the two cannot be separated anymore. But there is one more thing that should continue to coexist with these two things. This is ethics in communication. The problem raised is how to change the communication ethics of teenagers in using gadgets in Pasir Emas Village. The purpose of this study was to identify changes in adolescent communication ethics in using gadgets in Pasir Emas Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. The research subjects are teenagers, parents, village officials, teachers and community leaders who live in Pasir Emas Village. From the results of this study indicate that; (1). Adolescents experience changes in communication behavior, (2). Changes in intensity of communication with families, (3). Decreasing the spirit of student learning, (4). Often teenagers say disrespectful. This research is in line with the Theory of Technological Determinism. where technology affects humans starting from the way of thinking, social and many other things in order to shape individuals in society to think, feel and perform certain actions.
