Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between student learning methods and learning outcomes for class X biology students at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru in the 2020/2021 academic year. It was carried out from January to February 2021. Based on research on student learning methods, it was found that the average value of all indicators of student learning was 77.55% in the Very Good category. the indicators for making schedules and their implementation have an average of 77.84% in the very good category, the indicators for reading and taking notes have an average of 74.19% in the fairly good category, then the indicator for repeating the lesson material is an average of 78.72 in the very category. good, then the average concentration indicator is 80.03% in the very good category, then the indicator for doing the task is an average of 77.01% in the very good category. While the learning outcomes of students who are in the high category, the score is 40.62%, the medium category is 33.33%, and the low category is 26.05%. Based on the correlation test, there is a significant relationship between learning methods and learning outcomes t arithmetic (0.194) > t table (1.660) in the very low category with a correlation (r_(xy )) of 0.020 and a contribution of 3.76%. This shows that there is a significant relationship between students' learning outcomes and the Biology learning outcomes of class X SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru in the 2020/2021 academic year.
