Abstract
This study aims to analyze and determine the role of the Subdistrict Government in Development Supervision in Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, as well as to analyze and determine the inhibiting factors and supporting factors for the Subdistrict Government in Development Monitoring in Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method. Types and sources of research data are primary data and secondary data, while data collection is done by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The conclusions of the research results are (1) The District Government plays a sufficient role in the Supervision of Development in Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The role of the District Government in supervising development includes determining implementation standards, determining the measurement of activity implementation, measuring the implementation of real activities, comparing the implementation of activities with standards and analyzing irregularities and taking necessary corrective actions; and (2) The inhibiting factor for the District Government in Supervision of Development in Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency is the availability of human resources and the inadequate reporting of the implementation of village development activities, as well as the lack of regulations governing the role of the District in supervising village development. Meanwhile, the supporting factors for the District Government in Supervision of Development in Singingi Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency are the participation of the village community in monitoring the implementation of village development and the ease of reviewing the
