Abstract

Jovi Anto, 2021. Contribution of Arm Muscle Power and Eye and Hand Coordination to the Chest Pass Ability of Male Students Basketball Extracurricular SMA Negeri 3 Tapung. The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power and eye and hand coordination to the chest pass ability of basketball extracurricular male students at SMA Negeri 3 Tapung. The type of this research is multiple correlation. The sample in this research were 12 male students of basketball extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 3 Tapung. The research instrument used was a two-hand medicine ball throw test, a hand-eye coordination test and a chest pass ability test. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the value of the contribution from the results of multiple correlation values. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is known that (1) There is a contribution of arm muscle power to the chest pass ability of male students extracurricular basketball at SMA Negeri 3 Tapung with a value of rhitung = 0.625> r table = 0.576 with a value of KD = 39.06%, (2) There is a contribution eye and hand coordination on the chest pass ability of male students extracurricular basketball at SMA Negeri 3 Tapung with a value of rcount = 0.665> r table = 0.576 with a value of KD = 44.22%, (3) There is a contribution of arm muscle power and eye and hand coordination to chest ability male student pass extracurricular basketball at SMA Negeri 3 Tapung with a value of rcount = 0.680> r table = 0.576 with a value of KD = 46.24%.
