Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the exchange rate (USD/IDR), World Oil Prices, World Gold Prices, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) on the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) both simultaneously and partially in the period March 2020 – February 2021. The sample in this research was obtained using the judgment sampling technique, so that 263 samples were obtained with the research period March 2, 2020 – February 28, 2021. The data analysis techniques used to solve the problems in this research was multiple linear regression analysis with the Eviews version 10 programs. The results of this research indicate that simultaneously independent variables (exchange rate (USD/IDR), world oil prices, world gold prices, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA)) have an effect on the Composite Price Index (CSPI). Variables Exchange rate (USD/IDR), World Oil Prices, World Gold Prices, and Dow Jones Industrial Average have a positive and significant effect on the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI). In addition, it is obtained that the adjusted R square value is 23.41%.
