Abstract
This study aims to describe the function of the Nagari secretary in providing services to the people of the people of Nagari Batu Bulek. Departing from the phenomena previously found in the field, the purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the Nagari secretary performance in carrying out its functions and the obstacles in providing correspondence services to the people of Nagari Batu Bulek according to the established rules. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with the research subject being the Nagari Seretary who provides correspondence services to the people of nigari Batu Bulek, Lintau Buo District, Tanah Datar Regency. Furthtermore, data collection used in this study though interview technique observation and documentation. The result ofthis study indicate that the Nagari secretary has not carried out duties and fuctions optimally where there are still many problems faced by the community when they need service. This measured though indicators from the evaluation proposed by William N Dunn.
