Abstract

Stunting is an urgent issue to be resolved because it has an impact on the quality of Indonesia's human resources in the future. Human resources are the main factors determining the success of a country. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing in detail the implementation of the Stunting Prevention and Reduction Program at the Rejo Sari Health Center, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The main purpose of the discussion is how to implement stunting prevention in pregnant women and how to implement it in reducing the number of stunting cases. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative methods, with the most dominant number of respondents being female with a total of 75%, and the number of toddlers/toddlers affected by stunting as many as 47 toddlers/toddlers. The results of this study indicate that there are a lot of government policies that were born as an effort to accelerate stunting prevention, but in reality the stunting reduction rate is still far from the target. In Tenayan District, Pekanbaru City, there are still many people who do not have adequate mastery of knowledge related to stunting itself, both its impact, the causative factors, and how to prevent and treat it. Therefore, widespread socialization is still very much needed to provide more in-depth information on how to prevent stunting from an early age.
