Abstract
ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF TOURIST PREFERENCES ON THE DECISION TO VISIT THE ISTANO BASA PAGARUYUNG TOURISM OBJECT BATUSANGKAR By DEANTI IFTARIANI NPM : 175210424 The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze tourist preferences for the decision to visit the Istano Basa Pagaruyung tourist attraction. So this research was carried out by taking the title "the influence of tourist preferences on the decision to visit the Istano Basa Pagaruyung tourist object". The population in this study were domestic tourists who came and visited the Istano Basa Pagaruyung tourist attraction. The sample was taken by accidental sampling with a total sample of 50 visitors. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the above calculations, it is known that the tourist preference variable has a positive and significant effect on the decision to visit the Istano Basa Pagaruyung Batusangkar tourist attraction.
