Abstract

THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MINISTRY OF RELIGION IN IMPROVING HAJJ SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY (STUDY AT THE OFFICE OF THE MINISTRY OF RELIGION, PEKANBARU CITY) ABSTRACT By Achmad Arif Farkhan The success of the haj pilgrimage organizers in Indonesia cannot be separated from the existence of good service in the process of organizing the hajj, starting from pre-implementation and post-haj preparation. Registration services for Hajj pilgrims that are held at the Ministry of Religion Office of Pekanbaru City include government efforts to uphold the image of government institutions as public servants. Empirically, the services held at the Ministry of Religion Office of Pekanbaru City have resulted in an increase in the productivity of minimal services quantitatively, namely the increasing interest and enthusiasm of the people of Pekanbaru City to register for Haj from year to year. The purpose of this research is for the performance of the Ministry of Religion in improving the service of Hajj affairs to the community (Study at the Ministry of Religion Office of Pekanbaru City and its inhibiting factors. The research method used is a quantitative method by collecting data through interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. Population and sample in this study. This study is the Office of the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pekanbaru City, the Head of Haj and Umrah (PHU) Administration, 31 employees and the public who register for Hajj. The results of the study show that the Organizational Performance of the Ministry of Religion Office of Pekanbaru City in Providing Public Service Religion in Pekanbaru City is quite good. This can be seen from the indicators, namely productivity, service quality, responsiveness and responsibility which the results of the assessment are still quite good. n Public in the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pekanbaru City is the ability of service providers, clarity of procedures, and speed of providing services, technical abilities / skills of service providers who are not yet qualified, bureaucratic character in terms of empathy and inadequate facilities and infrastructure.
