Abstract

Psoriasis is one type of chronic disease on human skin that can reduce the quality of life of the sufferer and can damage the appearance and internal organs if not handled properly. This disease has not been found the main cause of its emergence, which is only a temporary suspicion that the cause of psoriasis is due to genetic factors. Although this disease is not contagious and life-threatening to sufferers, but this disease is difficult to cure. To make it easier to detect the early symptoms of psoriasis, an expert system is needed that can diagnose psoriasis. An expert system is a computer-based system that adopts the knowledge of an expert and is designed to make decisions like decisions made by an expert. The search method used in this system is the Case Based Reasoning method, while the Weighted Nearest Neighbor method is used to find solutions for new cases. This expert system is made on a web-based basis to make it easier for users to access it. This system is feasible to implement because it obtains the same diagnosis results as the results of the diagnosis made by experts and obtains a percentage of 95% obtained from the results of processing questionnaires using a Likert scale.
