Abstract

Adjustment is a process of how an individual can get a balance in dealing with the needs of his life. Self-adjustment can arise if you have a high self-concept. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and self-adjustment in women who use the veil. The subject of this research is a student of the Islamic Faculty of Islamic University of Riau who uses a veil. as many as 45 people. The subject taking technique used is saturated sample technique. The measuring instrument used is the scale of self-concept and self-adjustment. The analysis used in this study is the Sperman Rank Order correlation. Statistical analysis showed that the value of r = 0.018 with Sig = 0.352 * (p <0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between self-concept and self-adjustment in women who use the veil. Self-concept contributes 2.7% to self-adjustment. The rest of 98.3% is influenced by other factors, the higher the self-concept, the higher the adjustment in women who wear the veil. Vice versa.
