Abstract

A teacher must create a conducive classroom environment, one of which is by using appropriate learning multimedia. Multimedia viewed as a learning and communication tool, learning a topic, learning materials and content. Multimedia is developed to benefit great for both students and teachers. Motivation contains desire that drive learning attitudes and behaviors. The essence of learning motivation is internal and external encouragement to students who are learning to make changes in behavior and for teachers on learning motivation The students at SD Babussalam Pekanbaru are quite good. Formulation of the problem Is there an effect of using Multimedia by teachers on motivation? student learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the use of Multimedia by PAI teachers on students' learning motivation. Research population These are all 493 Babussalam Elementary School students. And the researchers took samples as many as 40 students. This study uses quantitative. Collection method data, namely the method of questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using analysis quantitative with a model to measure the effect of use multimedia by PAI teachers on students' learning motivation. Motivation test learning (Y) is influenced by the use of multimedia (X) hypothesis testing obtained by simple linear regression with decision making based on the probability value, that is, if the probability (sig) > the level of significance Ho accepted and if probability (sig) < real level (a), then Ho is rejected. Then processed, analyzed and concluded using the regression equation simple, namely: ^Y = a + b x. While multimedia (X) is able to explain learning motivation is 8.1%, while the remaining 91.9% is explained from other factors, it can be concluded that the use of PAI teacher multimedia on the learning motivation of SD Babussalam with the very "very" category low".
