Abstract

Preference Selection of spouses is a screening process carried out by individuals in determining potential life partners until finally the selection of prospective life partners in the individual. Many career women today who still find it difficult will determine a life partner for themselves. Work factors and the thinking of career women who are more modern and developed than by women who do not have a career make them restless when choosing a life partner for themselves. The purpose of the study was to find out the picture that became the determinant in the preferences of choosing a partner, living in career women. This research uses qualitative research methods with the a descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were women aged 29 and 27, working in the offices of the National Land Agency and Bank Riau Indonesia. From the results of the study showed that the first subject in this study has certain qualities in couples such as having a job, having the same level of education, being able to appreciate parents and spouses, adults, faith and responsibility. In addition, the subject likes older couples, tall bodies and able to make them feel comfortable. While the second subject in this study had the desired criteria in their partners, such as being able to be responsible, mature in regulating mindsets, polite when speaking, and like men who are tall, clean and physically fragrant.
