Abstract

This research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jl. Kaharudin Nasution KM 11, No. 113 Marpoyan, Kelurahan Air Dingin, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This study was conducted for 4 months from July to October 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interaction and the main growth media and sludge on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nurseries. This research uses factorial completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the growth media consists of 3 levels. The second factor is palm oil solid waste consists of 4 levels, so there are 12 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Thus this study consisted of 36 experimental plot units. Each plot consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were used as observation samples so that the whole plant was 144 plants. If the F-count is greater than the F-Table, then it is continued with an honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study concluded that: The interaction of growing media and solid palm oil solid waste on all parameters observed. The combination of the best treatment of growing media peat + FMD and palm oil solid waste 300 g / polybag. The main effect of the media treatment grew significantly on all parameters that were killed. With the best treatment the media grows peat + FMD. The main effect of the treatment of palm oil solid waste is apparent on all parameters that are died, with the best treatment of palm oil solid waste 300 g / polybag.
