Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of power nutrition fertilizers and 16:16:16 fertilizer on yam (Pachyrhizus erosus. L), the benefits of this study to provide information to the authors and readers about the effect of the use of power nutrition and NPK fertilizers 16:16:16 in yam (Pachyrhizus erosus. L). This research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jl Kaharudddin Nasuttion KM 10, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The study was conducted in January until May 2019. Using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was Power Nutrition (P) consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 50, 100, 150 mg / plant and the second factor namely NPK 16: 16 :: 16 (N) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 2.25, 4.5, 6.75 g / Plant. The parameters observed were flower age, harvest age, tuber weight per plant, wet wet weight, tuber circle, starch content, taste test. The last observation data was statistically analyzed and continued with a BNJ follow-up test at the 5% level. From the results of the study showed that the influence of the interaction of the use of power nutrition and NPK 16:16:16 significantly affected all parameters but did not significantly affect the tuber circle, while the main influence of the use of power nutrition and NPK 16:16:16 significantly affected all parameters where treatment the best provision of power nutrition and NPK 16:16:16 is 150 mg / plant and 6.75 g / plant.
