Abstract

This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University for 4 months from May to August 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interactions and main doses of bagasse compost and NPK 16:16:16 on growth and yield of purple eggplant. This study uses a Factorial Complete Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is bagasse compost which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0, 360, 720, 1080 gr / plant. The second factor is NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 3.6, 7.2, 10.8 g / plant. The parameters observed were plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit plantations, weight of fruit plants, fruit weight per fruit, and the number of remaining fruit. Data were analyzed statistically and continued with BNJ at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between sugarcane bagasse compost and NPK 16:16:16 gave a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, flowering age, age of harvest, number of planted fruit, plant fruit weight, and fruit weight per fruit. The best treatment of bagasse compost dose is 1080 gr / plant and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer is 10.8 gr / plant. The main effect of bagasse compost has a significant effect on all observations parameters. The best treatment of bagasse compost dosage is 1080 gr / plant. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer significantly affected all observational parameters. The best treatment of 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer dosage is 10.8 g / plant.
