Abstract

This study aims to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the structure of phrases contained in Riau Malay in DanauBingkuang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The theory used in this study was proposed by Sulistyowati in 2012. The method used in this study was an ethnographic design in processing data. Including the type of field research (field research). The approach that the author uses in this research is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, recording and note. The source of research data is the whole subject or research target, namely all Riau Malay dialects in Kampar dialect in various conditions and situations spoken by the informants. The data from this study are all the phrases contained in the Riau Malay language in the village of Lake Bingkuang in Tambang District, Kampar Regency which were obtained from informants. Based on the analysis conducted on the Riau Malay dialect of Kampar, it can be concluded that the structure of the phrases contained in Riau Malay in DanauBingkuang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency which were found were 1) Nominal phrases consisting of Nominal + Adjective [uang (N) tuo ( A)], 2) Verbal phrases consisting of Verbal + Nominal [baliok (V) Pokanbawu (N)], 3) Adjective phrases consisting of adjectives + adverbials [koye (A) bonau (Adv)], 4) Prepositional phrases consisting of Prepositional + Nominal [ka (Pre) Tambang (N)], 5) Numerical phrase consisting of Numeralia + Nominal [duo (Num) ayi (N)]. Thus, the author can emphasize that the structure of the phrase contained in Riau Malay in DanauBingkuang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency is more dominant in using the FP phrase structure (Prepositional Phrases) than other structures.
