Abstract

Valery Dwipan Slayton Naibaho (154110346). The study was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM. 11, No. 113, Marpoyan, Kelurahan Air Dingin, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research has been carried out within 5 months from September 2019 to Fabruari 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of rabbit manure and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of red ginger (Zingiber Officinale var Rubrum) . This research uses a completely randomized factorial design. Which consists of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor is rabbit dung manure (P) which consists of 4 levels namely 0, 200, 400, 600 g / plant and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 1, 12, 2.25, 3.37 g / plant. Observation parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of tillers (stems), rhizome wet weight (g), rhizome dry weight (g), production per hectare (ton), biomass (g), harvest index (g). Data were analyzed statistically and continued at the BNJ test level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction between rabbit manure and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on plant height, rhizome dry weight, biomass and harvest index. The best treatment combination is found in rabbit manure 600 g / plant and NPK 16:16:16 3.37 g / plant. The main effect of rabbit manure is real on the parameters of number of tillers, and wet weight of rhizomes. The best treatment is rabbit manure 600 g / plant. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 is significantly affected by the observation parameters of number of tillers, wet weight of rhizomes, and production per hectare. The best treatment is NPK 16:16:16 3.37 g / plant.
