Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and the amount of the best stocking density on survival and growth of the try of baung fish seed with golden snail paste feed. The research design in this study was with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely P1 (stocking density of 2 fishes/liter), P2 (stocking density of 4 fishes/liter), P3 (stocking density of 6 fishes/liter), P4 (stocking density of 8 fishes/liter) and P5 (stocking density of 2 fishes/liter). The best result in this study were found in P1 with a stocking density of 2 fishes/liter, which resulted in 100% survival rate, weight growth of 0.45 g, lenght growth of 1.27 cm, daily growth rate of 2.14% and feed conversion ratio is 1 : 1.5. The water quality in this study supports the maintenance of baung fish seed with a temperature range of 28-328-31oC, pH value of 7.44-7.61, DO of 3.6-5.8 ppm and ammonia content of 1.37-2.79 mg/L.
