Abstract
The research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, for 4 months from July to October 2019. The research objective was to find out the effect of oil palm empty fruit bunch compost and NPK Grower on the Growth and Production of Shallots. The study used a Factorial Complete Randomized Design. The first factor is oil palm empty fruit bunch (A) compost consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 1, 1.5, 2 kg / plot. The second factor of NPK Grower (B) dosage consists of 4 levels, 0, 20, 30, 40 g / plot so that 16 treatment combinations are obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, harvest age, number of tubers per clump, wet weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of tubers per tuber and shrinkage weight of tubers. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with BNJ further tests at the 5% level. The results showed an interaction effect on plant height parameters (A1B1) with a height of 40.57 cm, the number of tubers per clump, the tuber wet weight per clump, the tuber dry weight per clump. The best treatment is a combination of 1.5 kg / plot oil palm empty fruit bunch compost and 20 g / plot NPK Grower dose (A2B1). As for the plant height parameters obtained at a combination of treatment (A1B1) with a height of 40.57 cm. The main effect of oil palm empty fruit bunch compost and NPK Grower dosage were apparent on all parameters. The best treatment is Palm Oil Empty Fruit Bunch Compost at a dose of 1.5 kg / plot (A2) and NPK Grower at a dose of 20 g / plot (B2).
