Abstract

ABSTRACT Siti Roviqoh (164210072) Factors Influencing Household Consumption in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Under The Guidance of Dr. Elinur, SP., M.Si Household expenditure in this study includes consumption expenditure. This study aims to analyze (1) Food and non-food expenditure in Pekanbaru City (2) The development of variable value that is household expenditure in Pekanbaru City (3) Factors affecting household expenditure in Pekanbaru City. The method used in this research is literature study. The type of data used in this research is time series data from 2000-2019. To analyze the development of variable values and expenditure on food and non-food in Pekanbaru City, namely growth rate analysis, to analyze the factors that influence it using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the variable values, GRDP, population and interest rates tended to experience increased fluctuations. Food and non-food expenditure in Pekanbaru City tends to increase every year. While the factors that significantly influence household expenditure are GDP and interest rates, however, there is one variable that does not have a significant effect on household expenditure, namely the population.
