Abstract

Assistance to fishermen in Asahan Regency in the form of fishing gear is an idea implemented by the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service of Asahan Regency as a form of support for fishermen in carrying out their profession. The selection process is still carried out manually, so it is not uncommon for aid to be mistargeted due to limited human capacity in selecting the number of groups that apply for assistance. To overcome this problem, we need a web-based application with the Wighted Product method that can provide quick and accurate selection results so as to simplify work and save time in processing. The criteria to be considered in the selection of beneficiaries are the value of the proposal, the number of groups, monthly income, and the fisherman's cash balance. The results of the study are in the form of a web-based application that provides recommendations on the selection of beneficiaries for fishermen using the weighted product method to obtain the best results in making a decision. System accuracy testing has a good performance with an average questionnaire value of 85.50% so that this decision support system is feasible to be implemented.
