Abstract

research with the title: "Effects of Liquid Organic Conch Mas Fertilizer and Various Types of Mulch on Growth and Production of Long Bean Plants (Vigna sinensis L.)". This research has been carried out in the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113 Kelurahan Air Dingin, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 4 months from June to September 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction and the main influence of organic snail liquid fertilizer and various types of mulch on the growth and production of long bean plants. The research uses a completely randomized 4 x 4 factorial design. The first factor is P (the concentration of golden snail liquid organic fertilizer), while the second factor is M (various types of mulch), each of which consists of 4 levels. So we get 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications so that there were 48 experimental units, each experimental unit had 4 plants, all plants were sampled. So that obtained 192 plants. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plot, pod weight per plot, longest pod length. Observational data were analyzed statistically and further tested BNJ at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study indicate that, the interaction of giving snail POC and various types of mulch affect the number of pods per plot and pod weight per plot. The best treatment was the concentration of POC gold snail 9% and silver black plastic mulch (P3M1). The main effect of the snail's gold POC concentration affects all parameters observed. The best treatment is the snail POC concentration of 9% (P3). The main effect of various types of mulch affects all parameters of observation. The best treatment is black silver plastic mulch (M1).
