Abstract

The problem in this study is whether there is a contribution to balance arm muscle strength and balance on the results of discus throwing in male students in Class X-3 SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength and balance to disc throwing results in male students in class X-3 SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. This research is a quantitative research. The population and sample in this study were 12 male students of X-3 SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. The data collection techniques in the study were observation, literature and tests and scoring from the results of the arm muscle strength test, balance and discus throwing tests. From the results of the study showed that there was a contribution of arm muscle strength to the results of discus throwing in class X-3 students of SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu, this was seen from the calculated r value > r table value, 0.917 > 0.567 with KD was 84.08%. Then there is the contribution of balance to the discus throwing results in class X-3 students of SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. The value of r count > r table value, 0.952 > 0.567 with a KD of 90.63%. And there is a contribution of arm muscle strength and balance to the results throwing discus at the male students of Class X 3 SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu. The calculated r value > r table value, 0.851 > 0.567 with KD is 72.42%.
