Abstract

ABSTRACT Sri Oktika Syahputri (194121004), research entitled "Utilization of Green Manure From Water Grass (Hydrilla verticillata) and Legin to Increase Growth and Production of Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.)". The research was conducted at the Green House UIRA Farm Agro, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Teropong street, No. 62, Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the interaction and the main application of water grass (Hydrilla verticillata) and legin to increase growth and peanut production. The design used in the study was a completely randomized factorial design consisting of two factors. The first factor was the administration of water grass (Hydrilla verticillata) with a dose without Hydrilla verticillata, 0.6 kg of Hydrilla verticillata, 1.2 kg of Hydrilla verticillata, 1.8 kg of Hydrilla verticillata while the second factor. Parameters observed were net assimilation rate (mg/cm2/day), relative growth rate (g/day), flowering age (days), number of root nodules (fruit), number of effective root nodules (fruit), root nodule weight ( g), harvest age (days), number of pods per plant (fruit), number of seeds per plant (fruit), dry seed weight per plant (g), and analysis of protein and fat content. The last observation data was statistically analyzed and continued with the BNJ further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of the combination of Hydrilla verticillata and legin gave a significant effect on all parameters except for the parameters of flowering age (days) and harvest age (days). The best treatment was found in a combination of administration at a dose of 1.2 kg Hydrilla verticillata and legin 10 g/kg seeds. The main effect of giving Hydrilla verticillata was significant on all parameters. The main effect of giving legin is real on all parameters.
