Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the implementation of supervision of Presidential Regulation Number 80 of 2017 concerning the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency and to find out the inhibiting factors in the implementation of supervision of Presidential Regulation Number 80 of 2017 concerning the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency. This type of research uses qualitative methods with research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. The subjects of this study were the Substance Enforcement Group Coordinator, Information and Communication Substance Group Coordinator, cosmetic business shop owners, and the public. Data collection techniques used in determining key informants and informants are interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Types and data collection techniques used consisted of primary data which was collected through a list of interviews and results of field research and secondary data collected using reports and notes and documents. Based on this observation technique, the researcher researched and concluded that the Center for Drug and Food Control (BBPOM) in monitoring the circulation of illegal cosmetics and those containing dangerous substances in Pekanbaru City was not good.
