Abstract

The occurrence of fish theft at Indonesia's maritime borders is inseparable from the lack of supervision carried out by the government and the authorities. The supervision carried out by the government and the apparatus in handling fish theft in the Anambas Islands Regency has not been carried out optimally so that foreign vessels are still found stealing fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that hinder the Supervision of Fishery Resources in the Eradication of Illegal Fishing Activities in Tarempa Village, Anambas Islands Regency, Riau Islands Province in 2019 and to determine the inhibiting factors for Supervision of Fishery Resources in the Eradication of Illegal Fishing Activities in Tarempa Village, Anambas Islands Regency, Archipelago Province. Riau Year 2019. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Discussion that fishing theft supervision activities have not been maximized in Tarempa Village, Anambas Islands Regency so that fishing theft activities are still found by other countries in Indonesian waters. The results showed that fishing theft surveillance activities in the Anambas Islands Regency could not be handled optimally due to the lack of resources owned by the joint operational team for fishing theft supervision, operational transportation, and cooperation carried out by the joint operational supervision team, so that there are still many activities . fishing by other countries. The author suggests that the joint operational supervision team improve their capabilities and cooperation in handling illegal fishing, increase the number of operational transport fleets, and the central government provides the maximum budget to maximize monitoring activities.
