Abstract

The Collection Mechanism of Zakat Fund at National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) Pekanbaru City BY Ranti Aprianti 172310096 BAZNAS Pekanbaru city was an institution that manage Zakat, it was founded by Pekanbaru government and started from 2001 where the management was suitable with the law number 23 year 2011 and province regulation number 2 year 2009, this research conducted at BAZNAS Pekanbaru city. In collecting Zakat Fund, BAZNAS Pekanbaru city used direct method and it had problem with the socialization directly and the lack of zakat fund collection in company and business sector, also a lot of UPZ did not active in collecting zakat fund. Besides, in using indirect method, some muzakki did not active and forgot to pay zakat and amil shoul always remembered when the time to pay zakat had come. Research formulation in this research questioned about how the collection mechanism of zakat fund at BAZNAS Pekanbaru city. This research used descriptive qualitative, the informant was in 4 persons consisted of head of operational, collection division staff, and 2 muzakkis. Data collection technique used observation, interview, and documentation based on data analysis that was done on respondents’ answer result. It could be concluded that zakat fund collection at BAZNAS Pekanbaru city used direct fundraising with visiting to the office or zakat picked up service and indirect fundraising used BAZNAS Pekanbaru Bank account.
