Abstract

ABSTRACT Aldo P Silaban (154110296) research entitled "The Effect of Various Organic Fertilizers and Superior Plant Hormones on the Growth and Production of White Radish" (Raphanus sativus var. Longipinnatus). This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Marpoyan Stop, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 3 months starting from August 2020 to October 2020 (Appendix 1). The aims of this study were: To determine the effect of various organic fertilizers and superior plant hormones on the growth and production of white radish. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Organic Fertilizer (Swallow Manure, Cow Manure, Goat Manure) (Factor K) consists of 4 levels, namely: without organic fertilizer, 2 kg swallow manure, 2 kg cow manure and 2 kg goat manure. The second factor was the dose of Superior Plant Hormone Fertilizer (Factor H) consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 1.5, 3 and 4.5 ml/l water, there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications so that there were 48 experimental units. Each plot contained 9 plants and 4 plants were used as observation samples so that the total plants were 432 plants. Observation parameters were: longest leaf length per plant, number of leaves per plant, tuber diameter, tuber weight per plant, tuber length and harvest index. If the calculated F is greater than the F table, then it is continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: The interaction of various organic fertilizers and superior plant hormone fertilizers is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was goat manure and the concentration of superior plant hormone fertilizer was 3 ml/l water (K3H2). The main effect of various organic fertilizers was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment of goat manure (K3). The main effect of superior plant hormone fertilizer was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment was the concentration of 3 ml/l water (H2).
