Abstract
This study aims to help teachers and encourage students to be more active and creative in the learning process. The form of research carried out is development research or what is known as Research and Development (R & D).The implementation of this research was carried out at SMPS Methodist Pekanbaru and its implementation in the even semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The object of research is learning tools (RPP and LKPD) with a realistic mathematical approach to the material for the System of Two Variable Linear Equations for class VIII SMP. The data collection instrument was used the Learning Device Validation Instrument. The results show that the development of learning tools has been tested for validity, this can be seen from the average validation results for each lesson plan by each validator equally, with an average value above 85.00 the level of validity for each lesson plan developed from the first meeting to the fourth meeting as a whole, obtained an average value of 91.42 with a very valid category and the average value of LKPD 85.27. The level of validity of each aspect is considered to be in a very valid category. The results of the study can be concluded that the development of learning tools based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to the material of the Class VIII Linear Equation System of Two Variables (SPLDV), namely the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheet (LKPD) adapted to the RPP has been tested for validity.
