Abstract

The population database administrator and the operator of the population administration information system are functional positions, but at the Regency/City Population and Civil Registration Offices in Riau Province, no one has become functional, even 78% have honorary status. This study aims to determine the effect of compensation on the performance of population database administrators and operators of population administration information systems at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Regencies/Cities throughout Riau Province. This study uses a simple linear regression analysis with research instruments using a questionnaire that has been pre-tested. The sample in this study amounted to 62 people from a population of 162 people consisting of 6 Population Database Administrators and 56 Population Administration Information System Operators spread over 12 Population and Civil Registration Offices in the Regency/City of Riau Province. Before being analyzed using linear regression analysis, first tested using the classical test consisting of normality test, linearity test and heteroscedasticity test. Using IBM SPSS Statistics 26, with a significance value of 5%, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of compensation on the performance of the Population Database Administrator and the Operator of the Population Administration Information System at the Population and Civil Registration Office of the Regency/City of Riau Province by 51.6% on employee performance. . Meanwhile 48.4% is influenced by factors outside of compensation.
