Abstract

ABSTRACT “The Role of Principal Supervision in the Development of Teacher Professional Competence at 29 Pekanbaru State Elementary Schools” By: Nurhasni.AR This study, entitled The Role of Supervising Principal of Professional Competence in the Development of Teachers in Public Elementary School 29 Pekanbaru. This study aims to answer the focus of research on principal supervision, teacher professional competence, and the role of principal supervision in developing teacher professional competence at 29 Pekanbaru State Elementary School. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. This type of research is qualitative, with a descriptive research approach. The data collection technique used by the researcher was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research conducted in the field indicate that the role of Principal Supervision in the Professional Competence Development of Teachers at State Elementary Schools 29 is the role of the principal as a protector, advisor and even as an input for constructive criticism if there is one teacher in the delivery of learning that is not achieved.
