Abstract

ABSTRACT RAZALI (2021): Contribution of leg muscle power and eye coordination to the shooting ability of the football game players of Matador FC Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle power and ankle coordination to the shooting ability of the football game players of Matador FC Pekanbaru. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study were 18 matador FC players, totaling 18 people. The sample technique is total sampling and the number of samples is 18 players.The instruments used were the standing broad jump test, the wall pass test, and the shooting test towards the target. Based on the calculation results obtained the correlation index rx1y = 0.544. the value of rx2y = 0.528, and the multiple correlation value of rx1x2y = 0.646. The conclusions in this study are: 1) There is a contribution of leg muscle power to the shooting ability of the football game players of Matador FC Pekanbaru by 29.5%. 2) There is a contribution of eye coordination to the shooting ability of the football game players of Matador FC Pekanbaru with 27.9%. 3) There is a contribution of leg muscle power and ankle coordination to the shooting ability of the football game players of Matador FC Pekanbaru by 41.8%.
