Abstract
Indonesia is a country that is rich in various animal species both on land and at sea. The existence of marine animals in Indonesia is currently increasingly threatened by damage to marine ecosystems and illegal hunting of marine animals. One of them is marine life. Marine life is a type of marine animal that is on the seabed. However, it is very unfortunate that there is a lack of knowledge of early childhood to know the history and information about marine life. Thus the application of introduction and learning about marine life using Augmented Reality technology is very helpful, because it displays 3D images that can attract early childhood interest to know marine life and can make sounds so that they understand marine life with Latin names, habitats, and ages. survival of the marine biota, besides that it does not only display sounds, but also the explanations listed when scanning the camera for the marine biota object. This application aims to learn and introduce marine life using Augmented Reality technology. This application uses the Vuforia SDK library and then uses a 3D display with the marker technique. Based on the tests collected on teaching media and early childhood children, it is known that this application can display animation of marine life in dim light with a minimum of 10 lux, a maximum of 7487 lux and a minimum distance of 50cm, a maximum of 200cm and 4 tracking objects, namely plain room walls, cement floors, uneven, with a total percentage of 175% of the questionnaire.
