Abstract

research with the title Application of Various types of PGR and Pruning Leaf Entres on the Growth of the shoots of Bawor Durian (Durio zibethinus). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interaction and the main application of various types of PGR and leaf pruning of entres on shoot grafting of durian bawor. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, from November 2020 to January 2021. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The main factor was giving PGR consisting of 4 levels, namely, without PGR, Atonic 2 cc/l, Hormax 4 cc/l and Growtone 6 g/l, while the second factor was pruning leaf Entres which consisted of 4 levels, namely pruning 0, 1, 2 and 3 entres leaves in order to obtain 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications, so that 48 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 were used as observation samples, so the total number of plants was 192 stems. The parameters observed were the percentage of live connections, bud break time, shoot length increase, number of leaves and number of petioles. The results of the observations were statistically analyzed and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of various types of PGR and leaf pruning had a significant effect on bud breakage time. The best combination of treatment was Growtone 6 g/l and pruning of 3 leaf buds (Z3P3). The main effect of various types of PGR was significant on all parameters. The best treatment is Hormax 4 cc/l (Z2). The main effect of leaf pruning Entres was significant on all parameters. The best treatment is pruning 2 strands (P2).
