Abstract
ABSTRACT Amalia Rahmadiani (144110129) research entitled Effect of Ash Silage Corn and Rhizobium on Growth and Production of Soybean (Glycine max. L). Under the guidance of Mr. Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Jumin, M. Sc as Advisor I and Mrs. Ir. Hj. T. Rosmawaty, M. Si as Advisor II. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11. Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, for 4 months starting from October to January 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main influence application of corn silage ash and rhizobium on soybean growth and production. The design used was a factorial completely randomized design, consisting of two factors. The first factor is Corn Ash Silage (A) which consists of four levels, namely 0 0.4 0.8 1.2 kg/plot and the second factor is Rhizobium (R) which consists of four levels, namely 0 7.5 15 22.5 g/kg seed to obtain 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications, so that 48 experimental units (plots) were obtained. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, number of effective root nodules, flowering age, percentage of pithy pods, weight of 100 seeds, dry weight of planted seeds. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with BNJ level 5%. The results showed that the interaction of corn silage ash and rhizobium was significant on the parameters of plant height and seed dry weight. The best treatment combination of corn silage ash was 1.2 kg/plot and rhizobium 22.5 g/kg seed. The main effect of corn silage ash affects all parameters observed with the best treatment of corn silage ash 1.2 kg/plot. The main effect of giving rhizobium effect on all parameters observed with the best treatment of 22.5 g/kg seed.
